Interactive Copyright Search Manual

How to Find Out if a Work is Copyrighted? There are a few different ways to examine whether a work is under copyright insurance and, assuming this is the case, the certainties of the copyright. 1. Look at a real duplicate of the work for such components as a copyright notice, spot and date of production, creator and distributer. In the event that the work is a sound account, look at the plate, tape cartridge, or tape in which the recorded sound is fixed, or the collection spread, sleeve, or holder in which the chronicle is sold;2. Make a hunt at the Copyright Office lists and different records; or 3. Have the Copyright Office make a quest for you.

This will cover the quest for a copyright restoration in the U.S. Copyright Office online database.
